Hello and a warm welcome to Stillwell Counselling
I am a BACP registered qualified counsellor providing a Person-Centred approach to talking therapy from my practice at 28 Hoghton Street in Southport, Merseyside and via online video
I primarily work with issues relating to the experiences of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, low self-confidence and relationship difficulties
Maybe you find it difficult to talk with others or share how you are feeling emotionally with people in your life? Or perhaps feel unheard if you do? Alternatively, may be you feel you share too much with others? You could be noticing you often say yes to what other people want or expect of you at the expense of how you are feeling? Maybe you feel your needs are not as important or feel you would not be accepted by others if you did express yourself?
If anything of this sounds familiar and you are, unhappy and fed up feeling like this and wanting to make positive changes in your life, counselling may be beneficial for you.
I can help you explore and work through the issues you are experiencing within a safe space. Having the space to share and explore your own thoughts and feelings openly and at your own pace within an empathic, non-judgmental, genuine therapeutic relationship can help with gaining insight and clarity allowing for a better understanding of who you are. The counselling process can often feel empowering and improve self-esteem and confidence towards making your own choices and decisions to make positive changes in your life that work for you.
Reaching out to anyone to talk about personal issues, thoughts and feelings can often feel scary and daunting, but if you are reading this, I understand you may be considering it or may feel ready to do so?
Finding a counsellor that is right for you to feel able to share what is going on for you is very important. If you feel I am someone you could work with, please do get in touch and we can go from there. I also offer a free no obligation 15 minute telephone informal chat that provides an opportunity to discuss your needs and establish if we would be able to work together before deciding on whether you wish to book a first session.
