Face to Face Counselling
In line with current UK government guidelines, I am able to offer limited face to face sessions with clients who require support where online video counselling is not a suitable option. Face to face sessions are conducted in accordance with COVID-19 safety measures as set out by the government.
Face to Face Counselling sessions are provided from my practice room (above) at 28 Hoghton Street, Southport, PR9 0PA. Sessions are £45 for 1 hour and are payable in advance either via online bank transfer or PayPal.
I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation before booking a session if you wish to discuss what you are looking for from counselling and where we can establish if the way I work would be suitable for what you need and if we are able to work together or you are welcome to email.
In order to provide a safe working environment, Stillwell Counselling has introduced measures after conducting a risk assessment and following UK government guidance in relation to COVID-19.
This sets out these measures and important information for you to be aware of.
NHS Track and Trace
In the event that I test positive for COVID-19, I will be required through the NHS Track and Trace to inform them of where I have been and who I have been in contact with. No information to the content of your counselling sessions would be disclosed for this purpose apart from your contact details.
If you experience symptoms of COVID-19 which include; a new continuous cough, a high temperature or a loss of smell or taste, it is important that you do not attend your face to face session. Cancellation fee will be waivered in these circumstances if you need to cancel your appointment at short notice within 24 hours. Sessions may temporarily be moved to video or telephone session if this is something you wish to do.
The counselling room/all chairs and surfaces are sanitised before your session.
For your session, a face covering will be required for entering and exiting the building and for using W.C. facilities. I will also be wearing a face covering when you enter and exit the building. You may remove your face covering once sat in the counselling room only. A window will be open to allow fresh air into the room.
Please arrive for your appointment as close to your start time as possible as the waiting area is not currently being used.
I will escort you to the counselling room where you will be required to use the hand sanitiser at the entrance door and re-use again if you exit and re-enter the room during the session.
To adhere to the UK government’s social distancing guidelines, the chairs in the counselling room are spaced 2 metres apart.
In the counselling session, a bottle of water is provided if required and tissues are available to you in the session.
